Laundry shouldn’t be a chore you have to think about.

Each provider sets their own prices, usually per bag. When you send a request you see an estimate (bags × their price per bag); the provider confirms the final price when they accept, so you know exactly what you'll pay before pickup.

Just ask. Add care notes to your pickup request — wash separately, cold wash, no tumble dry — and confirm them with your provider in chat before pickup.

Every request becomes an order you can follow under Orders: Requested → Accepted → Picked up → Washing → Ready → Delivered. Providers have 3 hours to accept or decline; if they don't reply, the request expires so you can try someone else. Turn on notifications to get an alert at each step.

During early access you pay your provider directly — cash or mobile money — when your clean laundry comes back. Payments inside U-Wash are coming soon.

Every order has protections built in: your items are counted at pickup, delivery only counts when you give your private handover code, and both sides confirm payment. If something isn't right — missing or damaged items, a no-show, a payment problem — tap “Report a problem” on the order (within 48 hours of delivery). Both of you are notified, the order is flagged, and our team contacts you both, usually within 24 hours, to sort it out using the order record and chat. Students, workers and neighbours with a machine or spare time; existing laundry businesses; and community washers who already wash by hand or go house to house. Anyone can create a listing; our team then reviews providers, and those who pass identity, location and facility checks get the Verified badge.
